NEWSLETTERS

Dear Moss Society members,

Welcome! This is the July 2023 edition of the Society newsletter.

Pat Moss News

Pat will be in Waynesboro for her Summer Barn Show and Gallery Open House beginning on Friday, July 14th. This year she will be signing at the Barn on Friday from 11 am until 4 pm. On Saturday and Sunday you will find her at 329 W Main St at the P Buckley Moss Gallery of Waynesboro. She has new work to share with everyone, and as always, a good story or two. For up-to-date information on this show, you may call the gallery at 540-949-6473, or visit

https://www.facebook.com/pbuckleymossgallerywaynesboro.

Society News

The staff at the Moss Portfolio is diligently working to get caught up with the 2023 brooches.

Foundation News

Pat and the Moss Foundation will be welcoming dinner guests at Pat’s Barn on July 15th for the annual fundraising dinner. It is going to be a fantastic evening. If you have made a reservation, please arrive no earlier than 5:15 pm to allow the setup crew time to finish. Parking will be in the adjacent grass lot, and check-in will be at the front door. The schedule for the evening is as follows:

6:00 pm Happy Hour and Silent Auction with musical guests, The Little Tangents

6:45 pm Dinner Service begins, catered by Takeout 250

7:45 pm Short program by Moss Foundation Board and last call for auction.

Music by the Little Tangents.

8:10 pm Auction closes and checkout begins.

The application period is open for the 2023 Teacher Grant program. Interested parties may request an application by emailing foundation@mossfoundation.org. Moss Teacher Grants provide art supplies to educators for use to implement a program that integrates art into all phases of learning. The aim is to allow those who learn differently an alternate path to learn. Some of our most successful grant recipients have used art to teach science, history and even sensory training at a school for the deaf and blind. It is an exciting opportunity to assist our teachers, and we hope that you will share this information with them.

Last month we introduced our 2023 PBM Endowed Scholarship winner, Jenna Siddeeq. Recently she sent a thank you letter to the office. The Foundation is grateful to Moss Society members for the continuing support of our mission. This letter is for you.
