Dear Moss Society Members,

Welcome! This is the July 2021 Moss Society newsletter.

Pat Moss News

Pat Moss celebrated her 88th birthday this year in May, and continues to provide a great example as to how to live a full life. She has a busy fall show schedule planned and is looking forward to reconnecting with everyone.

You can view her evolving schedule by visiting pbuckleymoss.com and clicking on Shows/Events.

How we love Pat and her humor!

Moss Society News

The Moss Society office is grateful that we are still here and moving forward once again. Thank you to all renewing members for patiently enduring the delays caused by supply chain interruptions. We do have news on a number of things to share with you.

First: All 2020 Adult member cards are being sent out. Our previous publisher was unable to do this for us, so Patty Moss lead the Portfolio team in taking this task in-house. Through careful evaluation of paper product available and a lengthy trial period, we have now successfully produced the membership cards that we all love. Look for your card in the mail sometime in the next 30 days.

Second: After a year-long search, we have been unable to adequately replace the extraordinary beads that we had become accustomed to receiving with our Choice and Premier Membership levels. For now, we will continue to renew all members at the Classic level, but know that we have not abandoned the Choice and Premier Membership programs.

Moss Foundation News

The 2021 Moss Foundation Quilt Raffle is happening now and you can view the quilt at any Moss gallery show with Pat. The quilt’s next public appearance will be In Blacksburg, Virginia on August 6th through the 8th at the annual Steppin’ Out Festival and Blacksburg Gallery Open House. As a festival sponsor, Moss Galleries will have a booth by the Lyric Theatre on College Avenue and will be hosting the quilt on Friday and Saturday. Pat Moss will be visiting the booth on Friday from noon until 2 pm. On Sunday, the 8th, look for Pat and the quilt at the gallery located at 216 S Main St inside Kent Square.

This year’s quilt was lovingly created and sewn by Nancy Gore. It measures 7.5’ by 10.5’. What an incredible addition it will make to someone’s home! Raffle tickets will be available at shows with Moss and by contacting the Moss Foundation either by phone at 800-430-1320, or by email at
foundation@mossfoundation.org. Know that your kindness in participating in our quilt raffle will benefit the Foundation’s Scholarship and Teacher Grant programs.
