NEWSLETTERS

Dear Moss Society members,

Welcome! This is the June 2023 newsletter.

Pat Moss News

Pat received many cards and letters for her birthday. She said, “It was wonderful! I felt like we were all together again. Thank you.” She returned from the Moss Society trip in the British Isles on May 27th, and has been back at work in her studio.

Happy birthday Pat.

Moss Society News

The Moss Society trip was incredible. Pat’s newsletter from last week detailed the first week of the journey. If you have not seen it, you may read it by following this link. https://bit.ly/23wk22moss

Our tour was put together by Collette Travel, and it couldn’t have been more seamless. Airport connections and pickups were efficient, and the itinerary was well thought out. Everyone had a great time. Inquiries were received during the trip asking about the next one. No one wanted it to end. The Society office is in the early stages of planning for a river cruise for 2023. As details become available, we will include them in this newsletter.

The Moss Portfolio and Society will be welcoming chapter members from Moss on the James on Saturday, June 10th. A luncheon is planned along with a tour of the production facility. For Society Chapters or members who would like to schedule a visit, please contact the Society office at 804-725-7378. We love to share what we do!

Moss Foundation News

The Moss Foundation Dinner on July 15th at Pat’s Barn in Waynesboro is SOLD OUT. There is a waiting list for tickets that you can join by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/e/529479416187. Please click on purchase tickets and add your contact information to the list.

The 2023 winner of the P Buckley Moss Scholarship is Jenna Siddeeq. Jenna is from Winter Haven, Florida and will be attending Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fl. Her plan for the future is solid and ambitious. She will be majoring in art and psychology, with a long term goal of working in Art Therapy. She said, “I discovered the healing power of art and want to share art with others is need.” We are pleased to support this extraordinary young woman as she begins her journey.
